A: No. Hawaii is a direct access state, so you do not need a physician referral to receive physical therapy services.
A: No. Internal exams are never required and are only considered if appropriate and with your full consent. Many people improve without internal work, and you are always in control of what is included in your care.

A: Please see the next section below on this page for details so you know what to expect from day one. No body likes surprises....not about their pelvis at least!
A: There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. We’ll start with an initial plan, see how your body responds, and adjust along the way.
A: Yes. Please stay updated about any upcoming workshops on our Instagram (see below) and if you're interested in collaborating for an event, please contact us.

See the IG reel below to get an idea of how a pelvic floor PT assessment can go. And of course every case and client are different. Internal exams are never required and only completed with complete consent at each visit.
During your initial assessment, I take a head-to-toe approach because your pelvic floor never works alone. We’ll look at your overall mobility, posture, strength, breathing patterns, hips, core, and how everything moves.
If it's indicated, appropriate, and only with complete consent, we’ll include an internal pelvic floor exam to understand how the muscles are coordinating, relaxing, and supporting you.
Expect gentle, guided movement tests, hands-on assessment, and clear explanations the entire time.
Everything is consent-based, nothing is rushed, and you’ll always know what’s coming next.
By the end, you’ll better understand how your body is working as a whole, what’s driving your symptoms, and exactly how we’ll start improving things. All from the comfort of your home. We will discuss your plan at that time, to best reach your goals.
